Every step that I take…

I've become so numb...

Domingo… End of the week… Beginning of the week… You didn’t think it would end today did you…? Every day here is just that… a sunrise… a sunset… There is no date… If I didn’t have Mass… You couldn’t tell if it was Monday, Tuesday, Green, Four, Soft, Sweet, or Friday… Today’s adventure of the day… I went to Kirkuk today… I do believe I had more Chai tea today than I have ever thought possible… It is impossible to conduct a meeting without apparently… So when I get back to the states and I step into your office and don’t talk until I have a cup of tea in my hand, don’t be offended… And the way they make it… Jolida! You have about ¼ cup of tea… with about an inch of sugar at the bottom… I have the insulin shots ready to go… We went to an outlying city called Dibis… A powerplant… which isn’t my forte… but they serve a mean lunch…

Right now you are thinking… what the heck is that… Called Do’ma… I immediately wanted to yell out… TOMA LOCA!!! And start dancing… But I didn’t… It was served with these Matza looking balls… Of course you could imagine that I would be in a world of Jihad if I mentioned Matza's...

All I could say about lunch was… the Pepsi was good…

And that is the last time I ever go to Dibis for lunch… Dibis is primarily a Kurdish town (Kurds are the arab peoples with their act together… a quality is hard to find) … So they are pretty jovial to see us… as opposed to the average Sunni… all he wants to show you is the door (with an IED on the other side) … One of the guys there did a horrible Saddam impression… Actually I don’t know if it was horrible cuz I couldn’t understand Kurdish… But at the end he did read a poem… It went something like this…

Roses are red…

Violets are blue…

Not exactly like that… but you get the meaning… They still love us…

Did you think I would forget… So the meaning of the week… hmm… I will put it as this… A good person does not accomplish great things… A good person accomplishes little things with great love… Mother Theresa PBUH said many a year ago… The great plagues of today are not Cancer, Aids, Bird-Flu… It is the lack of compassion and love for each other… without compassion and love we do not have a chance… all you have is just yourself… good luck

Disclaimer for you Catholics (or really bored atheists) : This was the last Sunday of the liturgical year… woopeedoo… What that means is ADVENT starts next Sunday… CHRISTMAS TIME… Light up the 100 bulb cords and the Santa outfits… Oh yea… There will be Mass on Thanksgiving… it is not a day of Holy Obligation though (wheew) … but make the effort… (DOH!) <-Guilt trips are a Catholic Specialty…

So you wonder… Mark Dangers and M-Lo The Wonder Llama can’t work all the time… Well when we are not working we are working out… Watch out Sarah… When I am through with your Husband he will have to walk sideways to get through the door… Might be able to get a job at Raiders Reef for Ladies Night… Well if you thought that statement was gay (no offense) look at our progression…
