Nobody said it was easy... No One ever said it would be so hard...

I'll take you back to the start...

You can't keep a good Llama down... nor Mariuz Dangerz... Yes, we are finally back from Kirkuk... An eventful trip to say the least... that story is better told over a martini and really good olives... (mmm green olives with bleu queso) Right now I ask you to look at the stars tonight... and look how they shine for you... and pray they will shine for those nameless here again tonight... and the night after... Exit strategy... War on terror... Yellow ribbons... Victory... Not an issue here... what is an issue is where each other is... here and now... I could really care less whether the oil makes it to turkey and beyond... I could really care less about a lot of things now... What I care about are those that were placed to the seat next to me... That is where the strength to wake up each morning is derived...

another morning...

We have what is called a PSD here... Personnel Security Detail... I think that is what the acronym stands for... (if you know me... you know I hate military Acronyms) They are the group of a dozen individuals that were picked to run Wonder Boy M-Lo and I around this Mobil-1 Country... We tell them where we want to go... Kirkuk, Bayji, Al Fahtah, etc... They prep the HUMVEE M1114's... Breakdown and maintain the .50 calz and M249z... Operate the vehicle and man the turrents..
When we go out to Oil Infrastructure sites... These guys secure the area... position themselves between us and the unseen enemy... Oh... You thought M-Lo and I would just walk around Iraq alone...? They allow us to do our jobs in a bubble of security... Real infantry... not your local run of the mill airman... I will admit I was a lil hesitant to go out with this group at the beginning... (they arrived just a month ago...) After this latest excursion to Kirkuk... I think we all can rest easy knowing they are with us... With the help of the 555 RROC PSD team we will Push Through... Push Through..

in iraq... war is just a squeeze away from peace...

Gracias... I want to thank you all for the posts and emails you sent while M-Lo and I were in Kirkuk... We kind of got stuck there longer than expected... Their computers have this site blocked, thus not allowing me to update... Thanks to my Bro'ham and XL... hopefully any worries were lifted... Being a fool I wondered if anybody would care if I didn't post... but you did... I am downloading about 85 emails... and I read all your posts... wow... most impressive... Let me be the first to tell you... This whole war thing is wearing thin... But all those emails and posts we got from the past 3 days... even got one from SnowBizzle (Korea'z Pied Piper Kelz... drip drip!) ... makes me feel like I have the energy from when this whole thing started... I promise you (and I am sure the Wonder Llama feels the same way...) We will never forget the thought and prayer you put into us... as long as you believe in us and don't forget us... everything will be taken care of... all we have to do is enjoy the ride...

Oh Sh!t! How are we going to get through all that traffic...

With my big Fu(king gun that's how...

-PSD members discussing how to navigate through Kirkuk's traffic where VBIEDs have struck for the past three days...
